Cecil Dougherty

Dr. Cecil N. Dougherty a chiropractor that moved to Glen Rose, specifically because of the tracks, spent 17 years investigating them and photographing him.

In 1971, he came out with a book called “Valley of the Giants” which gave descriptions, locations, and pictures of the giant human foot prints.

    1. Hi Ursula,
The book “Valley of the Giants” is rare to find for purchase because it is out of print. There is a copy that can be reviewed in the Summerville Historical Museum located in Glen Rose Tx. This is where I was able to review the book. I do not have a personal copy of this book.

      Kind regards,
      Jeff

  1. I have seen rocks in Glen Rose with human and dinosaur prints in the same stone. I tried to get UT Arlington Archeologists to go with me the 60 miles to look at them and they wouldn’t go. I didn’t take a picture because I didn’t think of it at the time. A man who lived on the Paluxy River showed me the blue clay of the Paluxy and the stone. I know this is true.

    1. Hi Dr. Alexander,

Thanks for the comment on the website. How long ago was this when you saw human and dinosaur footprints together. Do you think that you could still locate the area?

If you think that there is a possibility that these human footprints could still be there, I would be very interested in going there. This kind of thing needs good documentation.

If you think that it would be worthwhile to go there, I would be willing to meet you down there some time. I live near Wichita, Kansas.
      Kind regards,
      Jeff

        1. Thanks for the comment. There are other groups who have not given up on looking into this type of thing. One reason why ICR and CRS don’t look into this type of evidence anymore is they believe that it is not necessary evidence to prove their position. They also do not discuss things like pre-flood artifacts. Kind regards, Jeff

  2. It was Dr. Cecil N. Dougherty that was the first person to invite me to see the tracks on the phone when I called him, when I was starting my creation science research career. I never got to meet him, but I came out in August 1984 at a time when he said was the best to see the tracks when the river was dry. There was no one at the Creation Evidence Museum, so I had to search to find the tracks on my own. The river was dry alright, it probably evaporated by the sun’s heat. I had to carry a cup full of ice to keep from burning up. Found the ranch down the road and paid to see the tracks. I got to walk in the Taylor Trail. I present an update on this site in my book Mysteries of History Revealed Part 1 where I show that no one would cut a real dinosaur track out of the river, which left a hole in a trackway and carve it into a human track that most people would consider to be a fake. And if a person did take a slab of rock to carve a fake track, why would he carve a giant human track which would not sell because no one would believe a giant human was real. A carver would carve a fake dinosaur track because it would be more saleable since most people believe in evolution. I am the researcher who went from the Paluxy and found the site near Tuba City Arizona on the way back to see the putative human tracks found with dinosaurs. I became to senior researcher and published several technical papers on the research by our team in the Creation Research Society Quarterly. I discuss my conclusions on this research in the book I mentioned previously.
